| LIFT-TECH's State-of-the-Art Control System |
Up/Down Control System The LIFT-TECH controller is a versatile design that allows the option of using an RF remote (Radio Frequency), an IR remote (Infrared), or discrete inputs for controlling the lift. A choice must be made between an RF or an IR remote, but the discrete inputs and outputs will co-exist with either type of remote. Following are descriptions of the various modes and the necessary connections.
Radio Remote The RF mode uses a 300 MHz signal between the transmitter and the controller to operate the lift. The RF signal travels through the cabinetry to the receiver (controller). The RF remotes are set up with a number of security codes to prevent remotes from interfering with each other in the case of multiple systems within the 70 foot range of the transmitter.
Infrared Remote The IR system consists of an infrared receiver or "eye" that is connected to the control box and an infrared transmitter. Since this is a "line of sight" type of control, the infrared sensor (eye) must be mounted to or near the cabinet. The IR receiver is designed to install in a 1/2" diameter hole and comes with a mounting nut and lens. In addition, a jack is provided for the connection of an emitter on the back of the control box in order to repeat an infrared signal from the infrared receiver to another audio/video component.
Discrete Inputs This form of control interface allows the lift to be controlled by an external source such as a sophisticated home lighting system or home integration system. Because there are many such systems on the market, this controller has four switch selectable interface modes.

Up/Down/Swivel Controller The LIFT-TECH controller for motorized up/down/swivel lifts is highly sophisticated and utilizes the latest computer chip technology to control the lift's functions. Our state-of-the-art features provide the benefits of precise, reliable and easy operation.
Operated by radio remote control, infrared remote control, or discrete input, the lift is easily programmed to learn maximum swivel range, absolute center and it has a memory function. When you're ready to lower the lift, simply depress the down button, and the lift will automatically return to absolute center and lower. Press the up button, and the lift raises and remains in the center position until commanded to swivel. Or program the memory function. Then when you press the up button, the lift will raise and swivel to the last "remembered" position. Of course, by using the swivel left or swivel right buttons, you can readily change the positioning of the swivel at any time.
Controls include a safety feature that prevents lowering unless the swivel is centered.
The unique and state-of-the-art control systems that are a part of each LIFT-TECH motorized system are the result of the efforts of the talented electronic and mechanical design engineers of FO Engineering Inc. of Valencia, CA. |
